This is a couple of pictures taken in Jan 2006 of Carleen (Curtis) Thomas and Danny Drake, graduates of SHS class of '65. Ronnie Christ - 1985 Graduate
I had not seen or heard from Danny since the year we graduated all those many years ago. In late October 2005, I received an email that simply said, "If you know me, write and let me know" It was signed, Danny Drake. He had located my name on the Spencer High School web site while helping his daughter complete a school project that involved her parent's history. I was so thrilled.
Danny, a retired Navy veteran, is a truck driver and lives in Phoenix, AZ with his family. I am a secondary education teacher and live in Pensacola, Florida. It's ironic how things work out. In January Danny had a delivery to southern Florida and would be passing through Pensacola. We met at a local Cracker Barrel and spent a few hours reminiscing and looking over old SHS yearbooks. We stay in touch now by cell phone.
So, thanks for the SHS web site that helped these two old friends reunite!
Sincerely, Carleen (Curtis) Thomas
